NO class on July 24th 2009 - ECLIPSE trip

My dear yoginis and yogis,

As most of you know, there will be a SUPER Solar Eclipse on July 22nd!!
(more info here: English 日本語)

Since I would like to experience the Eclipse while visiting Kyushu (from where the Eclipse will be close to its maximum), there will be no class on Friday 24th.

Instead, I recommend
Stacey's Yoga at the Beach on the 20th
海の日= Ocean day
10.30 - 12.30 at Moriyama Jinja, Hayama
(special Ocean day suggestion: to show our gratitude to the ocean, let's each bring a plastic bag and clean up a little bit of the beach together)
more info here

Enjoy,
Namaste,

Joyce!

NO class on April 17th 2009 - Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally lecture at Sun and Moon INSTEAD!

Dear yogis & yoginis,

This Firday April 17th 19.30 - 21.30 there will be an interesting event at Sun and Moon studio: Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally will present "Yogi's mind, business' mind".
Since I know some of us are interested in the lecture, I have decided to cancel the Tanuki-yoga class and invite you to come to Sun and Moon instead. This lecture will be a great opportunity to understand the practical aspect of yoga philosophy.

You can find all information about the event here. (scroll down until "Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally return to Tokyo - Friday April 17, 7:30-9:30pm")
* there will be Japanese translation!
Don't forget to register!

I strongly recommend as well their lecture on Saturday April 18th 6:30-9:30pm “How Yoga Works”

(Lecture Cost: 3,500 yen each. Both (Friday and Saturday) sessions for 6,500 yen.)

I hope to see you there... and I apologise to those expecting the usual Tanuki-yoga class on Friday...

Namaste,

Profesora Joyce!

NO classes for some time

Dear yogis / yoginis,

Due to family reasons, I must go to Europe.
Tanuki-yoga will have to stop the classes for some time.
I do not know for how long I will be out of Japan.

If you wish to be on the tanuki-yoga mailing list to receive news, send an email to tanukiyoga@gmail.com.

I recommend practicing at Sun and Moon or Be Yoga.

Namaste,

Joyce!

NO class on October 24th and 31st 2008

Dear yogis & yoginis,

My cousin Valentino from Italy is travelling around the world without taking any airplanes (see blog here in Italian only).
Since my contract ended this week and his birthday will be next week, he convinced me to join him on his journey for 2 weeks.

This means I will be in Thailand and Malaysia from October 18th until November 3rd.

... and that means our super TANUKI YOGA will have to be cancelled on the 24th and 31st of October...
... and that also means that my classes at Yoga Uluka will also be cancelled on the 20th, 24th, 27th and 31st of October and 3rd of November ...

In the meantime, do not stop practicing. If you want to have yoga in a studio, you know I recommend Sun and Moon

Gomenasai,

Profesora Joyce!

My dear yoginis and yogis...

On Friday 22nd of August I will be in Almaty (Kazakhstan) for the wedding of my friends... and therefore won't be in Tokyo for Tanuki yoga...

I'll miss you...

In the meantime, do not stop practicing. If you want to have yoga in a studio, I recommend Sun and Moon (or the previous studio of Tanuki-yoga: VeggieParadiseYoga).

Sumimasen,

Profesora Joyce!

My dear yoginis and yogis...

I am sorry, but our super Tanukiyoga class will have to be cancelled again! :(((
... on the 13th and 20th of June.

This time I am going to a conference (Human Brain Mapping) in Melbourne, Aurstralia. I am flying on Friday and coming back on Friday! ohlalala!
I will promess you that I will check yoga on the other side of the equator and come back with new ideas!

In the meantime, as I always advise you, you can go to the super studio Sun and Moon or to the previous studio of Tanuki-yoga: VeggieParadiseYoga.

Sumimasen,

Profesora Joyce!

NO class on May 9th and 16th 2008

Dear yoginis and yogis,

I will be visiting Europe for work again. This time I'll be in Groningen (NL) and Paris again.

I will be gone from May 3rd until May 11th. This means I won't be here on May 9th to share yoga with you.

Because I will be in the middle of the mountains hiking our 100km challenge... I will also be absent the Friday after (May 16th) click here for more info. Think of us and send us lots of yogic energy!!

However, even if in the middle of the Golden Week, there will be a class on May 2nd.

***************************

CONCLUSION:

May 2nd: YES class
May 9th: NO class
May 16th: NO class

***************************

From May 23rd, there will be normal classes.

I apologise for the inconvinience...

If you cannot do without yoga, I recommend you to go to yoyogi-uehara! You can check the timetable here. Some of you still have some tickets from there left... (However, understand that if you purchase a new ticket at yoyogi-uehara, I won't be able to accept it in Hiroo).
Or you can go to my favourite yoga studio: sun and moon.

I'll miss you all, don't forget to PRACTICE!!!

Namaste,

Profesora Joyce! :D

NO CLASS on the 14th and 21st of March 2008

Dear yoginis and yogis,

As most of you know, I am going to Europe next week (for work in Paris and to visit my parents in the South of Spain).
I will be gone from the 12th until the 21st (evening) of March. This means I won't be teaching on the 14th and 21st...

Because many of you will also be gone (and/or not able to come), I think the best is to cancel the classes.

I apologise for the inconvinience...
If you cannot do without yoga, I recommend you to go to yoyogi-uehara!
