Thai Yoga massage

Do your Body and Mind
feel the need of a Thai Yoga Bodywork session?

Joyce will be happy to help you!

Please, read further for more information.

Origins:

Thai Yoga Massage or Nuad Boran (literally meaning "acient massage") was born in India 2.500 years ago, at the time of the awaken Buddha. The origin is attributed to Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, a famous yogi and doctor in the healing tradition of Ayurveda who treated, among others, the Buddha.
Approximately 2.000 years ago, when Buddhism was brought to Siam (nowadays Thailand), it came along with its healing practices such as Ayurvedic medicine and yoga. The traditional Thai medicine incorporated those healing techniques and Nuad Boran was born. Nuad Boran was taught and practiced in temples and monasteries where people went in search of healing remedies. Nowadays, it is practiced all over Thailand and the entire world.

Technique:
The Thai Yoga Bodywork is a powerful dynamic massage therapy in which the giver uses thumbs, fingers, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet along the body's energy lines and pressure points combining acupressure, gentle stretching, rhythmic massage, breathing techniques and assited asanas (yoga poses). Joints are opened, muscles and tendons stretched, internal organs toned.

Thai Yoga Massage is performed on the floor; both giver and receiver are dressed in comfortable clothes allowing movement and flexibility. No oils or creams are used.

Benefits:
The results of a Thai Yoga Massage session is a full body treatment that brings relaxation, releases stress, relieves muscular tension and aching joints, increases flexibility, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, detoxifies, and balances the body energetically bringing the person deeper into balance and harmony for health, happiness and wellness of being.
